LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Saturday night was a good time had by all as the LA Cruizers hosted its first North Tennessee Avenue Cruize-In of the warm weather season.

LA Cruizers Club President Tom Hatmaker called it a “good turnout for the first Downtown event” of 2020.

WLAF’s Charlie Hutson roamed North Tennessee Avenue snapping photos on Saturday night.

Holley Green with Serenity Massage, Bodywork and Wellness in the Woodson Mall at Food City Center donated a gift certificate that was raffled off on Saturday night.  “It went for $120, and that will nearly sponsor one child for our Christmas give-a-way.  We want to send out a big thank you to Holley,” said Hatmaker.  He added, “Thanks to Katie’s Restaurant and O’Reilly Auto Parts for donating gift certificates, too.”

The Downtown dates are July 25 and September 12.  LA Cruize-Ins at Hardees are July 11, August 8 and September 26.  All cruize-ins are Saturday nights from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The 19th annual LA Cruizers Open Show will be held on Saturday, August 22, at Campbell County High School.  That’s when and where this year’s raffle car, a MINI Cooper, will be given away.  Five-dollar tickets are on sale for the drawing.  Proceeds from the show benefit several local organizations such as the Children’s Center Christmas Gift Program, the Cancer Association, and Honor Guard.
