LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A faithful WLAF listener phoned in a bear sighting first thing on this Monday morning.

She and her husband spotted the bear as they turned off Old Highway 63 at Glade Springs Road heading to their home.  It jumped over into a weeded area she said calling it the first bear they’d seen up that way.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/13/2020-8AM)

  1. Animal control had better get a handle on this problem because many walkers and hikers walk these roads. If someone was walking and came across a bear it could be devestating or lethal bear attack. This could even happen to school children. These bear settings could pose a serious problem. Not long ago a bear was spotted in the Wier Woods area. Animal control had better check this out now!!!
