LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Out of an abundance of caution to keep its staff and patrons safe, the City of La Follette has temporarily closed its lobby due to the recent local spike in active COVID-19 cases.

LaFollette City Administrator Jimmy Jeffries said, “We’re still open for business.  It’s just that we’ve closed the lobby for a little while.”  The city has its drop box set up for those who stop by and is still available by telephone (423.562.4961)  and email.

Librarian Nancy Green wants patrons to know the La Follette Public Library is also being closed again.  Green said  Jeffries notified her that the library will be closed for indefinite period of time.
