“We are honored to have had Hack as a member of Rotary, and have invited many distinguished guests and family members to join us for this event to honor him,” said South Campbell County Rotary President Nancy Green.

“Hack was a great Rotarian and rarely missed our Tuesday meetings, and we felt it only right to have a special day to honor him and recognize his accomplishments,” Green said.

On January 9, 2020, the day after Hack passed away, WLAF paid tribute to him with a 90-minute radio broadcast.  Ayers was a part of the WLAF family having dug the trench as a high schooler so the transmission line could be run from the tower to the studio.  He was a daily listener, longtime advertiser and supporter of WLAF.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/21/2020-6AM)
