Nicholas Wayne Knight (black shirt) was arrested on drug charges this morning.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A narcotics search warrant was executed at daybreak on this Thursday morning by members of the La Follette Police Department and the 8th Judicial District Drug Task Force.  The warrant was presented at 197 East Elm Street on the corner of River Drive.

This home at the corner of East Elm and River Drive is where investigators made at least one arrest on Thursday.

LPD Detective Matthew Forsyth said, “We are arresting 26-year old Nicholas Wayne Knight, our main target here, on charges of schedule II meth for resale and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  There may be other charges.”  Knight was last arrested in early March on multiple charges according to jail records.

“More arrests are pending.  We’re still checking warrants,” said Forsyth.  He added that this investigation is into about its eighth month.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/06/2020-7:30AM)
