LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A rainy day is no problem for Mercede Kitts.  She just made lemonade out of the gray, rainy day on Thursday and raised money for a worthy cause in the process.

Young Mercede, a 3rd grader at Valley View School, came up with the idea that she would like to sell lemonade in order to buy hygiene packets for the homeless.  So she set up a lemonade stand on her grandfather JR Kitts car lot.

Her efforts were quite successful as lemonade lovers stopped by for a cool drink and a donation.  Her lemonade stand was in business on Thursday from 10 am until 3 pm.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/07/2020-6AM)
