MORLEY, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputy Justin Phillips was on routine patrol early last Saturday afternoon on Highway 90 when he saw a woman riding a four-wheeler without a helmet.

In the 4600 block of Highway 25W at Duff, Phillips stopped the four-wheeler driven by Jessica Lynn Long and advised her that she was being stopped for not wearing a helmet while riding a four-wheeler on the road.  Long told Phillips confessed she didn’t have a driver’s license.  Long allegedly admitted to Phillips that she had a pill bottle containing Gabapentin down the front of her pants, which belonged to her boyfriend, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

While being transported to the jail, Phillips had to tell Long to stop moving around in the vehicle several times, because it looked like she was trying to hide something in the back of the vehicle. When Long was getting out of the backseat at the jail, Phillips saw two orange capsules in the backseat where she had been seated.

Long, 38, 793 Knotty Pine Lane, Duff is charged with possession of schedule V controlled substance, driving while revoked, operating off road vehicle on highway. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/04/2020-6AM)
