JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – State Sen. Ken Yager (R-Kingston) presented checks from AT&T and Consolidated Nuclear Energy, LLC to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Jacksboro on Monday afternoon.

“I am fulfilling my $15,000 commitment I made last year during the groundbreaking of the new wing here at TCAT,” said Yager yesterday afternoon.  Monday’s check presentation totaled $2,000 toward that commitment to TCAT’s Foundation.

“These contributions will help build our foundation to help with emergency situations with our students as well as fund scholarships,” said TCAT President Debbie Petree.  The president went on to say that these emergency funds may sometimes mean whether or not a student is able to stay in school.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/29/2020-6AM)
