LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A lot of tears are being shed between the once missing Alexis Gibson and her grandmother, Joyce Mynatt, as they are driving home at this hour from Knoxville.

The 16-year- old Gibson  went missing two weeks ago from her Valley View Estates home.  Mynatt told WLAF News, “She wasn’t kidnapped, but she was held against her will.”  The ecstatic Mynatt received a phone call from Gibson just a short time ago and picked her up at an East Knoxville home.

Some people may know Alexis Gibson from Hardee’s.

Gibson was roughed up, according to her grandmother.  Mynatt and Gibson are enroute  the hospital for an exam.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/29/2020-8PM)
