The Campbell County Children Center’s team had a successful night on Tuesday when it hosted its “No Show Black Tie” Gala auction.
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Children Center’s “No Show Black Tie” Gala auction went virtual Tuesday evening from the center.
Auctioneer and children’s center board member Billy Ball ventured into uncharted waters as he conducted the auction over WLAF radio and TV as well as via social media with bidders participating by telephone. “It went pretty well, and I think the auction was a great success,” said Ball.
Several thousand dollars were raised from the 11 items that were on the auction block. “I appreciate everyone, including our staff, who worked so hard to make this a success tonight and extra thanks to our sponsors and those who bid on our items,” said Tracie Davis, director of the Campbell County Children’s Center.
