Carl Burton Douglas, a loving husband of 53 years, father, grandfather, brother, brother in law, and friend to all, age 78 of the Stinking Creek Community, left this walks of life and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 9, 2020. He was born January 14, 1942 in the Branam Community to the late Arthur Lee and Alma (Davis) Douglas. Carl was a faithful member of Stanfield Church of God, where he loved to be when he was able. He absolutely loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Carl was a United States Army Veteran. As well as serving his country, he loved serving his beloved county as  the 5th District County Commissioner for Campbell County.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, J.C. Douglas of Washington State and Hurbert Douglas of Ohio; sisters, Minnie Lou Baird of Ohio, Evelyn Agnew of Washington State, and Mary Lee Loy of Ohio.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Baird) Douglas of Stinking Creek; son, Michael Douglas and wife, Michelle of Stinking Creek; brother, Roy Douglas and wife, Lois of Stinking Creek; sister, Glenna Faye Taylor of Stinking Creek; grandchildren, Mycah Baker and husband, Zack, Marrissa Douglas, and Magomery Douglas. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will have a graveside service for Carl Douglas on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at the Davis Cemetery in the Branam Community at 11:00 AM with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
The family request if you have any Covid like symptoms to please stay in your vehicle at the cemetery and everyone please wear a mask and social distance at the graveside service.
