LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The second installment of the Campbell County Trunk Show airs tonight at 8:30 pm over Postmark La Follette’s online outlets and WLAF.  The monthly program is showcasing Campbell County natives, areas and artifacts.

This month’s episode is titled: “A Picture Spans A Thousand Miles”.

Episode 2 of the Campbell County Trunk Show takes viewers into the home of Jerry Holbrook as he pulls a “Picture from his Past” out of his trunk of memories.

The first episode of the series aired on Sept. 9 (WATCH HERE).  The TV show focuses on Campbell County and its local traditions, history and culture. The show is unique in that the audience is encouraged to participate in the content by submitting videos or being interviewed.

There will be a skit showing how to submit your own videos and a performance from the Postmark Jamboree in Episode 2.

According to media director for the project Brad Smiddy, the show is a mix of “Antique Roadshow meets American Pickers meets the Heartland Series.”

Smiddy said overall the response to the show has been great and he had received several calls about submissions this week.

The project is supported by the Tennessee Arts Commission with an Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant.  It is a follow up to the traveling exhibit, the Smithsonian’s Museum on Mainstreet’s “Crossroads; Changes in Rural America,” which was sponsored by Humanities TN.

The grant covers a total of 10 episodes, which will be around 40 minutes each and will run from September until June of 2021.

The shows will air the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 pm and will be broadcast on WLAF Channel 12 as well as the Postmark LaFollette website and Facebook page.  Viewers can also follow and interact on the Postmark LaFollette Facebook page.
