JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – This week’s WLAF Teacher Feature is Jamie Gillum.  She teaches World History at Campbell County High School and has been a teacher four years.
Gillum was nominated to be featured by Colton Evans, who said “Jamie Gillum is an amazing teacher that will go above and beyond to make sure each child is comprehending every piece of information she is teaching. She is an excellent role model for everyone and an amazing teacher and person inside and out!”

Gillum said being able to “make a difference and help kids was a deciding factor” in her becoming a teacher and that she found many things about her job rewarding.  “The most rewarding is when you see a “tada” moment on a child’s face, the moment they learned something new, and knowing I had a hand in it, that’s the best reward of all!”
She said teaching this year during the pandemic was “definitely different.”  “Seeing the kids back at school, excited about being there and knowing that they are getting somewhat back to normal is the most positive part of this school year. I am blessed to be a part of it!”
