LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Based on WLAF’s mock poll, Wayne Kitts and Mike Evans would be the new members on La Follette City Council.

Kitts led a crowded field with 23 percent of the vote while Evans 18.1 percent edged out Phillip Farmer’s 17.4 percent.  The trio distanced itself from the rest of the pack in this order; 4th Sonya Lee, 5th Bill Archer, 6th Lonnie “Hot Rod” Wilson, 7th Hansford Hatmaker, 8th Joe Bolinger and 9th Keith Cordell.  Archer and Wilson are the incumbents.

State Representative Dennis Powers dominated his mock WLAF poll with 70.2 percent of the votes.  Challenger C. J. Mitchell received 29.8 percent of the total vote.

WLAF’s mock presidential poll saw President Donald Trump get 76.6 percent of the votes.  Joe Biden ended up with 23.4 percent.

Starting Tuesday night at 8 pm, WLAF will broadcast results over AM 1450, FM 100.9, WLAF-TV 12, www.1450wlaf.com, Facebook and YouTube.  In addition, there will be with interviews with candidates and election commission staff.   WLAF is asking candidates to call in as COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed throughout the evening.  The interview line is 423.562.1450.
