JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – This afternoon, Campbell County Trustee Monty Bullock announced a change in the two-percent discount date for those wishing to take advantage of the early payment savings.  “We’ve extended the two percent deadline through Tuesday, Nov. 17,” said Bullock. 

There are four ways to make your payment; by US Mail, through one of the two drop boxes located at the courthouse at Jacksboro, in person at the trustee’s office and online.  Bullock notes that anyone paying online with a credit card will be charged an additional 2.75 percent  “I’m so sorry about the inconvenience,” added Bullock.

The veteran trustee points out that there is still time to make property tax payments and receive a discount.  “The deadline is now Nov. 17 for the two percent discount,” said Bullock.  It’s worth noting that Bullock said, “If you mail your property tax payment, we go by the postmark.”

The trustee’s office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm.  For the time being, due to the pandemic, the Campbell County Trustee’s Office is closed on Saturdays.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/05/2020-6AM)
