JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – When the numbers were totaled in the city of LaFollette races, Phillip Farmer and Wayne Kitts were the winners. See the full election numbers breakdown HERE.

Farmer came away with 635 votes while Kitts saw 576. Behind them was Bill Archer with 430, Joe Bolinger with 239, Keith Cordell garnering 131 votes, Mike Evans with 369, Hansford Hatmaker seeing 298 votes, Sonya Lee receiving 295 votes and Lonnie “Hot Rod” Wilson with 226.

This was the only contested race on the ballot.

LaFollette Mayor Mike Stanfield received 1,499 votes.

In the second district, Sharon Mills Ridenour was uncontested as she ran for a two year unexpired term. She received 1,823 complimentary votes.

Caryville saw Mayor Bobby Stooksbury receive 691 votes in an unopposed race. Patrick Pebley, Eric Jones and Lloyd Lawson received 645, 615 and 624 respectively complimentary votes.

On the state level, 36th District State Representative Dennis Powers (R-Jacksboro-incumbent) received 11,685 votes in his home county, Campbell. His challenger, C.J. Mitchell (D) had 2,235 votes in Campbell County. District-wide, which includes all of Campbell County and portions of Union and Anderson counties, Powers defeated Mitchell by a final vote count of 19,034 to 4,051. This is Powers sixth-straight win.
