John Daniel Wallen, age 48 of LaFollette, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, shooting guns, and grilling out. He also loved motorcycles, horses, and spending time with his family. John was a former deputy of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department. John was actively involved with Mason Lodge #778, the Campbell County York Rite chapter #212, council #137, commandry #44, and Knights Templer.

 He is preceded in death by his father Bobby Ray Wallen Sr.; brother Bobby Ray Wallen Jr and Randy Lee Wallen; sister Sylvia Ann (Wallen) Chandler.

He is survived by his mother Bea Gowens and husband Harvey of Fairmount, GA; sons Cole Wallen and wife Ashley of LaFollette. Gavin Wallen of Maynardville, and Daniel Wallen of LaFollette; fiancé Chrystal Staton of LaFollette; grandchildren Braiden Wallen, Jeremiah Wallen, Bentley Wallen, Emorie Wallen, and Karis Wallen; brothers Larry Wallen and wife Tina of LaFollette, Gregory Wallen and wife Jeanenne of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Wallen of Missouri, and Stephen Wallen and wife Cheryl of LaFollette; sisters Patty Eberharter and husband Jim of Jacksboro, Darla Silvers and husband Steve of Rydal, GA, Christina Bunch and husband Curtis of Jacksboro, and Amanda Pemberton and husband David of Jacksboro; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:45 PM on Friday, November 13, 2020 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 7:45 PM and funeral services to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Allen Shepherd officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home at 9:15 AM to go in procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 AM interment.
