PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – A Jacksboro man attempted to flee but was caught moments later. Around 1 pm on Mon., Nov. 2, Deputy Justin Phillips with the Campbell County Special Weapons and Tactics Team executed a search warrant at 417 Elk Fork Road, Pioneer.

When the team entered the mobile home, Tyler Chase Mancini ran out the back door, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Jellico Police officers Capt. JJ Hatmaker and Det. Gary Jeffers tried to stop Mancini, but he ran into the woods.

At this point, Sgt. Travis Bostic deployed K9 Santo. Bostic, Sgt. Josh Jeffers and Phillips went into the woods, where Santo was able to find Mancini.

Mancini, 22, 322 Landmark Road, Jacksboro is charged with evading arrest, drivers to exercise due care, speeding, assault on a police officer, driving while suspended, evading arrest, capias/bench warrant and reckless endangerment.
