Robert “Bob” Dixon, age 77 of Jacksboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 14, 2020.  He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.  Bob enjoyed playing guitar for the church choir, fishing, watching westerns, football, NASCAR, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by father, William Scott Dixon, mother, Cora King Dixon, and stepmother, Ruth Dixon.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Birdine Dixon of Jacksboro; daughters, Diane Wasson and husband Steve of Jacksboro, Lisa Laxton of LaFollette; brothers, Billy Dixon and Danny Dixon both of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Alma Kercher of Indiana, Judy Peltrey of Urbana, Ohio; Donna Glenn of Dayton, Ohio, Linda Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kim Dixon of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Corey Laxton and wife Nikki, Matt Wasson and wife Rebekah, Seth Wasson and wife Stephanie, and Holly Claborn and husband Tony; Special bother-in -law and sister-in -law Wayne and Libby Evans and 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 12 PM to 2 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at the Evans Cemetery with Rev. David Walker officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey Laxton, Tony Claborn, Seth Wasson, Matt Wasson, Scottie Evans, and Steve Wasson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Coltyn Wasson, Jacob Wasson, Benjamin Wasson, and Parker Wasson.
