PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Capt. John Long recently led a team of officers in executing a search warrant at the home of a convicted felon. Courtney Garvin Partin, 42, has been convicted of several felonies including attempted first degree murder.

Long and his team made contact with Partin at 7286 Stinking Creek Road, Pioneer, according to the report. When confronted, Partin allegedly admitted to breaking into a relative’s home in La Follette and stealing a shotgun and a handgun. Partin said he went to the East Ash Street home, broke out a side window and took the weapons.

During the course of the search on the property last Tuesday on Stinking Creek Road, CCSO Sergeant Travis Bostic discovered a loaded 12-gauge shotgun. It was found inside a pick-up truck.

This was the 14th arrest for Partin. His nine charges are PI (public intoxication), filing a false report or bomb threat, resist-stop-frisk-halt-search, introduction of contraband into a penal facility, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, evading arrest, assault on a police officer and unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon.

Partin remains housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail without bond. He is due in General Sessions Court on Tue., Nov. 24, at 9 am. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 11/17/20- 6AM)
