JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – In a Friday afternoon release, Campbell County Director of Schools Jennifer Fields announced, “Due to the high number of positive cases of COVID-19 among students and staff at Campbell County High School, CCHS will be closed Monday, November 23-Friday, December 4. CCHS will reopen Monday, December 7.”

Fields added, “This will allow for adequate quarantine time and for the school to be disinfected.”

“Though CCHS is closed, students will be doing distance learning. Principal Jamie Wheeler will be providing information on distance learning on school messenger,” said Dr. Jason Horne, Secondary Supervisor / Attendance Supervision – Campbell County Schools.

With regard to CCHS sports, the director said, “Beginning tomorrow (Saturday), all sports and school activities will cease until Saturday, December 5.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/20/2020-2:30PM)
