LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It was many hands on deck Tuesday morning and even into the afternoon as City of La Follette firefighters, other employees and volunteers helped get La Follette’s Christmas tree ready for Monday evening’s lighting ceremony.

LFD Firefighters Tristan Nelson and Jessica Claiborne put the star at the top of the tree and WLAF’s Charlie Hutson shares his photo once it was in place.

A little after 9 am yesterday morning is when the transition from October’s Breast Cancer Awareness pink ribbons to Christmas colors and lights began at the big tree at the Nevada Ave. – 5th St. split at the Fleet Building.

The goal of getting the Christmas tree ready was accomplished by day’s end on Tuesday.

The official lighting of the Christmas tree is Monday at 6:30 pm. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/25/2020-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
