LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Fifteen Campbell County families will have a Thanksgiving meal tomorrow thanks Stan Pickle, Fred Miller and members of the Clinton Lions Club.

Pickle, of La Follette, is the club’s president (CORRECTION: Pickle is the club’s vice-president) and Miller, who lives in Jacksboro, is past president of the Lions Club. Miller said, “This was Stan’s idea, and we do it every year; a complete turkey dinner.”

It’s a turkey and all the fixins delivered to 15 area families late in the day on Tuesday.

La Follette Mayor Mike Stanfield volunteered to deliver the meals on Tuesday afternoon picking them up where Miller delivered them at La Follette’s main fire house. Miller said, “These meals will go to folks in La Follette and outlying areas as well as in Rocky Top.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/25/2020-6AM)
