JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Last night the Town of Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met with a light agenda.

Alderman Shayne Green made a motion the town pay employees for time missed due to COVID-19. Green feels the town should pay the employees instead of them using their sick time. Green told the board other cities were paying their employees for time missed. Alderwoman Jerri Starrett seconded the motion. Alderman Gene Stevens abstained, because he wanted more information in writing. Green was able to hand information to him pertaining to this motion. Aldermen J.C. Miller abstained for the same reason as Stevens. Forstner abstained from the vote as well.
