William Isaac “Kent” Blackwell, age 34 of Jacksboro, went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2020. He was a member of Mount Paran Baptist Church.

Kent was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was a kind and gentle soul that loved UT football and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Glenda Richardson Grimms, grandparents, Bill and Mildred Richardson and Roy and Clara Blackwell.

Kent is survived by father and step-mother Ed and Sandra Blackwell of Jacksboro, brother Michael Blackwell of Norris, sisters Maria Roberts and husband Ben of Jacksboro, Rachael Teague and husband Jordan of LaFollette, step brothers Christopher Longmars of Caryville, Jeffrey Matlock and wife Sunshine of LaFollette, and step-sister Sarah Matlock of of Jellico.

Step- niece Catelyn Longmars, special nieces and nephews Beau Blackwell, Jackson Matlock, Novalee Matlock and McKinley Smith, former step-mother Melinda Tadlock Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no chapel service. There will be a receiving of friends on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 11:00-1:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home for anyone who wishes to view Kent with the family not present. The family and anyone wishing to, will meet Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home and go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens, for a graveside service with Jonathan Paul, Pastor James Adkins and Chris Honeycutt officiating.
