David Arnold Hatmaker, age 68, of Jacksboro, born February 3, 1952, went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 13, 2020. His greatest joy in life was taking care of his animals. The love for animals started at an early age and over the years they ranged from dogs, cats, horses and even emus. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda B. Hatmaker and his Parents, George and Violet (Bab) Hatmaker.

He is survived by his two sons, Bradley Shane and David Scott, his sister DeEtte (David) Blankenship, and his niece Erin (Darrell) Wilson, and her children Kendall and Grace.

Family will receive friends 5 PM to 7 PM Thursday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Service 7 PM Thursday at Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. Donald Proffitt.

Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM Friday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.

  1. I loved Dave. He was my boss for a little while at Texaco. We loved listening to old music together. I will always remember his kindness. I’m sorry Shane and Scotty for your loss.
