LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Kendra Porter responded to a call about an alleged stolen vehicle on Dec. 7. The owner told Porter his vehicle had been stolen about two hours prior.

The owner said Vanessa Evans was at his house when got home from work and his parents allegedly saw her take his keys and leave with the vehicle, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Location services were activated giving Campbell County 911 dispatch the location of the car. Sgt. Joshua Jeffers was sent to the area and saw the vehicle pull out from the apartments at the intersection of Bethlehem Road and Old Middlesboro Hwy. Jeffers stopped the car and found Vanessa Amber Evans driving it. A check of her driver’s license revealed it was revoked.

Evans, 35, 255 Springfield Drive, LaFollette is charged with theft of property $2,500-$9,999 and driving while revoked. This was Evans 10th arrest based on jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/18/2020-6AM)
