Joie Rebecca (Holloway) Lowe, age 82 of LaFollette, entered into her heavenly home on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was born on September 4, 1938 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Ota Bowling and Martin Luther Holloway. Joie was of the Christian faith and she loved her Lord and Savior. She also loved her family very much and enjoyed tending to her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Lowe; brother, Charles Holloway; sister, Jean McCulley; great granddaughter, Addison Stiner.

Joie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Stiner and husband, Bill of LaFollette, Kathy Lester and husband, Mark of Knoxville, and Lori Ann Lowe of LaFollette; her son, David Lowe and wife, Cheryl of LaFollette; grandchildren, Chris Stiner and wife, Joni, Brance Stiner and wife, Alise, Josh Lester, Jake Lester, Jonny Lowe and wife, Amanda, Lindsay Lowe, and Jasmine Jeffers and husband, Jack; great grandchildren, Zeke, Kale, Carter, Boone, and Finn; her sisters, Ann Monday, Sue Reynolds and husband, Bob, Mary Moore and husband, Wayne, JoAnn Chitwood; many nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses, case workers, doctors, and chaplain of Amedisy’s Hospice especially, Justin, Jessica, Autumn, Nancy, Libby, and Brenda for their gentle care of our beloved mother.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 29th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. The interment will follow at Bakers Forge Cemetery.
