On December 25, 2020, Ann Morton age 76 of LaFollette made her journey from Tennova Health and Rehab to her heavenly home.  She was born in Westbourne on January 26, 1944, at the home of her parents, Rev. Bascal (Buss) and AsaLee Baird.  She was a member of Demory Baptist Church for many years before moving to LaFollette and joining Indiana Avenue Baptist Church.  She was employed at the LaFollette Press, cleaned houses, and was a substitute teacher for the Campbell County School System.  Her hobbies included reading, writing and singing songs, sewing and quilting, spending time at the lake and pools, going to the flea market, caring for her plants and flowers, and listening to country and gospel music.  She loved spending time with her family, friends and her second family at Tennova Health and Rehab.  She also enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, celebrating holidays, birthdays and other special occasions.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Father of her Children, Calvin Morton, Daughter-in-law, Phyllis Morton, Grandparents, John and Myrtle Elmore, and Pryor and Belle Baird, former Father and Mother-in-law, Albert and Samuella Morton. 

She is survived by Son, Calvin Morton, Daughters, Marsha Morton and Suzanne Clark and husband, David, former Daughter-in-Law, Vickie Morton; Grandsons, Calvin Morton and wife, Susanne, John O’Rourke and wife, Amanda; Granddaughter, Shaina O’Rourke and husband, Stephen; Step-Granddaughter, Brittany Collette; Great-Grandson, Norris Morton; Brother, Pryor Baird; Sisters, Leona Ronquillo, Louise Milburn and husband, Namon, Linda Dow, and many other relatives and friends that were precious to her.

Calvin, Marsha, and Suzanne would like to thank Dr. Harjeet Narula and his staff, Tennova Medical Center, and Tennova Health and Rehab staff for the love and care provided to our Mother during the final three years of her life.  We greatly appreciate you and so did she.
