TOP PHOTO: One person was injured in a two car crash on Sunday afternoon.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A two-car wreck sent one person to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

It was a little after 2 pm, when the mishap occurred on General Carl Stiner Hwy at the turn off to Middlesboro Rd near Davis Chapel.

One patient was transported to the La Follette Medical Center.

  1. I’m not surprised at the number of wrecks on this stretch of highway. The uneven lanes, pot holes and barrel alignment makes driving difficult. The latest paving effort has made one lane higher than the other and if you get near the edge, it can literally thrown you into the other lane. Someone is going to die if they don’t address the dangerous issues on this road.

    1. I have to agree with this they have taken all the turning lanes out and have barrels all the way from frontier to deroyle. Why not barrel where the work is. Also why would you make a one lane while paving and hold traffic up when all you would have to do is move the barrels over and let them drive the lane you blocked. I’m also surprised there aren’t more wrecks. I feel like you either work on the road or remove the barrels
