LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The fun of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 The 70s trips back to January 1976, Saturday night at 7 pm over WLAF radio.  The fun three hours of memories are brought to you by Maynard’s Auto Parts, Petals of Grace Flowers and Gifts and State Representative Dennis Powers.

Hits from the week of January 17, 1976, are featured as Casey counts down the Top 40 songs from that long ago week.  Featured are songs from the Ohio Players singing Love Rollercoaster, Kiss sang Rock-n-Roll All Night Long, Paul Simon was rhyming with 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover and the Eagles were hot on the chart with Take it to the Limit.  You’ll also hear the nation’s other top 36 songs over WLAF just like they all played here on the old radio station in 1976.

AT40, The 70s airs Saturday nights at 7 pm over WLAF’s FM 100.9 and AM 1450 and is brought to you by Maynard’s Wrecker Service & Auto Parts, Petals of Grace Flowers & Gifts and State Representative Dennis Powers.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/16/2021-6AM)

  1. I remember listening to Casey through the years and trying to guess what was going to be the #1 song on the countdown that week – great music, great memories, great idea!
