JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – David Ross Morrison, 68, Jacksboro, was arrested on Jan. 4 by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department and charged with multiple counts of child rape, incest and aggravated sexual battery. His charges relate to crimes he was indicted on by a Campbell County Grand Jury in 2017.

According to the indictment, the crimes occurred from January 2009 through September 2016 on a victim under the age of 13.  Campbell County deputies arrested Morrison on Monday as he was released from a Fayette County (Lexington) Kentucky prison and transported him to Jacksboro to be booked into the county jail. His address is listed as homeless, Jacksboro.    

According to the arrest warrant, Morrison was indicted on 17 counts in October 2017. The crimes occurred over a seven year span and began when the victim was six.

Based on the indictment, Morrison “unlawfully, feloniously intentionally and knowingly or recklessly engaged in sexual contact” with the victim on multiple occasions.

Morrison is charged with four counts of aggravated sexual battery, seven counts of incest, five counts of rape of a child and one count of solicitation to commit rape of a child.

Morrison is being held at the Campbell County Jail on a $250,000 bond. He has a Jan. 25 court date in Campbell County. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/06/2021-6AM)
