JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Former Lady Cougar Sarah Cain-Weinburger‘s Bryan Lady Lions college basketball team returned to game action on Tuesday after the holiday break. She, along with three other former Lady Cougars, are playing college basketball this season.

Skylar Boshears skies in the last game C-N played back in December; a loss to Liberty at Lynchburg, Virginia.

Sophomore Skylar Boshears first year at Carson-Newman has been impressive. However, the 3 & 1 Lady Eagles are in a holding pattern at the start of the new year with one cancelled game and another postponed. The next scheduled game is a home game at Jefferson City against Lenoir-Rhyne on Sat., Jan. 16, at 2 pm.

Madison Brady is playing as a true freshman at NCAA-Division I Tennessee Tech at Cookeville.

Madison Brady has seen action in two games this season, her freshman year, at Tennessee Tech. Her Lady Golden Eagles overcame a 15-point deficit on Saturday at Charleston, Illinois, to defeat Eastern Illinois 72 to 67. TTU improved to 4 & 2 and next plays on Thursday at 3 pm at Morehead, Kentucky, against Morehead State.

Walters State is looking to Haley Comer to help the Lady Senators build on last year’s 20 & 10 record.

After an outstanding freshman season at Walters State, Haley Comer is anxiously awaiting her Lady Senators to open its schedule this season. They’ll open the slate at Morristown on Wed., Jan. 27, at 5:30 pm, when the Chattanooga State Tigers visit the Z Buda Gymnasium. There are several stories from last season on Comer.
