DUFF, TN (WLAF) – A Ford Mustang with improperly displayed registration was noticed by Campbell County Deputy Cole West on Jan. 6 on Sled Creek Rd, Duff.

West stopped the vehicle and found Donald Anthony Ridenour to be the driver of the vehicle. Campbell County 911 confirmed that he was driving on a revoked driver’s license (revoked for DUI) with two prior driving on revoked charges. West placed Ridenour under arrest for driving while revoked (3rd offense).

While speaking to the 34-year old Ridenour, he informed West that he had “shot up” methamphetamine the day prior, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department. Upon arrival at the Campbell County Jail, Ridenour agreed to perform standard field sobriety tests in which he performed unsatisfactorily. He then refused to provide a sample of blood, stating that the illegal narcotics from the prior day would be indicated in the sample.

Ridenour, 34, 4668 South Hwy 25W, LaFollette is charged with driving under the influence (2nd offense), driving while revoked (3rd offense), and violation of the implied consent law.

This was Ridenour’s 14th booking into the county jail according to jail records. He is due in court on March 9. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/18/2021-6AM)
