Cain-Weinburger (#45) and Bryan won in a run-a-way Tuesday night.

DAYTON, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Former Campbell Lady Cougar Sarah Cain-Weinburger’s Bryan College Women’s Basketball team came out of the gate running full speed ahead on Tuesday night against Columbia College.

The Lady Lions jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game. Bryan took care of business early and went into halftime with a 53-33 lead. Every Lady Lion got to see the court in the second half, and the team cruised to a 95-72 win. Bryan earned their fifth-straight win and jump to 10-2 overall and 10-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

INSIDE THE BOX

  • Kaitlynn Hennessee finished with a season-high 20 points, as well as, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
  • Sarah Weinburger earned her own season-high with 18 points on 5-6 from 3pt-range.
  • Parker Leftwich and Gracee Dishman each tallied 12 points and 2 assists.
  • Shayla Ludy rounded out the double-digit scorer with 10 points of her own.
  • Bryan had a season-high 15 steals and forced the Koalas into 19 turnovers.
