The ladder unit of the La Follette Fire Department attacked the fire from up high.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Firefighters with the Caryville Fire Department were paged out this morning at 4:38 am facing the challenge of buildings on fire on Main Street in weather in the teens.

CFD Chief Eddie Hatmaker said, “We’re gonna be here a while. It’s the old post office across the street from Owens Shoe Store.”

Caryville’s old post office building was also on fire.

Units from the Jacksboro and La Follette Fire Departments are on the scene assisting CFD. Caryville Police and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department also responded.

La Follette’s ladder unit was also in action this morning.
