LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A confidential tip sparked an investigation which in turn resulted in the execution of a narcotics search warrant conducted by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and La Follette Police on Thursday.

The La Follette home of 55-year old Floyd Eugene Walden at 1009 East Chestnut Street is where investigators laid the ground work for today’s raid by making undercover buys of items thought to be Xanax, marijuana and controlled substances.

During Thursday’s search of the home, multiple narcotics ranging from Xanax to Suboxone were allegedly found along with cash.

Walden was not arrested. However, Sheriff Robbie Goins said, “His case will be presented to the Campbell County Grand Jury in order to secure an indictment on drug related charges.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/04/2021-8PM)
