LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputy Jordan Huskey went to 127 Garden Lane on Sat., Jan. 30 along with LaFollette Police Officers Danielle Gilbert and Darryl Chapman to serve a warrant for violation of probation and a capias bench warrant.

Huskey knocked on the apartment and Stacy Michelle Paul came to the door, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. The woman asked if they were looking for her brother to which Huskey replied “no.” She was asked to step outside where Huskey asked her name and she replied “Christy” and gave a date of birth and Social Security number. Huskey and Gilbert were able to identify the woman by the tattoo on her foot from Gilbert’s previous contact with Paul.

When the officers attempted to put handcuffs on Paul, she tried to run off the porch. The duo continued attempting to put handcuffs as she resisted and would not put her hands behind her back and was refusing commands to do so, according to the report. The struggle continued from the porch onto the grass where Paul allegedly bit Huskey on the wrist. Huskey was able to get Paul on the ground, but she got back up and started running again. Gilbert used pepper spray on Paul and was able to force her to the ground again. While trying to put Paul under arrest Officer Darryl Chapman saw Paul put her hand on Gilbert’s gun. The trio was able to place Paul under arrest.

Paul, 44, 118 Big Springs Lane, LaFollette is charged with resisting arrest, criminal impersonation, assault on a police officer (two counts) and aggravated assault on a police officer. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/08/2021-6AM)
