LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Sure most of the roads are just wet now, but don’t get over confident, because just as sure as you’re ready to pull into a parking lot, you’ll likely encounter snow and slippery spots.

This wet, heavy snow, that is now rain soaked, is making for some treacherous conditions on parking lots, sidewalks and driveways. Watch that first step and keep yourself safe.

By the looks of this photo, you’d never know Central Avenue was once covered in snow.

This winter weather system is now east of Campbell County and leaves behind a wet, chilly day that will struggle to get to 40-degrees. Tonight’s challenges begin with a low of 23-degrees and the chance of rain, snow and sleet. Black ice will be a concern to go along with some very light snow and sleet accumulation mainly on the highest terrain.

Once Friday morning’s snow flurries leave, we’ll cool down and dry out to finish the week and head into a weekend that features a lot of sunshine. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/18/2021-10:30AM)
