KINGSPORT, TN (WLAF) – Former Campbell Lady Cougar Sarah Cain-Weinburger looks to lead her Bryan Lady Lion Basketball team back to the national tournament for her fourth straight season.  The senior and Bryan won their opening round NAIA National Tournament game last March when the season was scrapped due to the pandemic.

Today at Kingsport at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center, Bryan faces Truett-McConnell College out of Georgia.  It’s the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament for Bryan, which ran the table to win the regular season AAC championship.

The quarterfinal game, the first in the post season for Bryan, tips off at noon.  Truett-McConnell has only won once in the series with Bryan entering today’s 18th all-time meeting.

Bryan is 14 & 2 and finished the conference slate at 13 & 0.
