LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Teachers change lives. Each school day an educator makes a difference in a child’s life in Campbell County. This past school year has been especially challenging on teachers and students alike, which is why WLAF wants to recognize our area educators and all that they do.

Tresa Brock is WLAF’s Teacher of the Week. She teaches fourth grade at Valley View Elementary School.

Valley View Elementary School’s Tresa Brock is WLAF’s Teacher of the Week. Brock teaches fourth grade and has been an educator for seven years.

Brock said she became a teacher because she loves working with kids and “loves seeing their eyes when something clicks.” Her favorite part of the job is making her students smile and making connections with them.

According to Brock, a positive from this year is that she has learned a lot about computers through virtual teaching. “Zoom meetings with 20 fourth graders can be an adventure. But more importantly, students and teachers have shown how resilient they can be,” Brock said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/25/2021-6AM)

  2. The best teacher! Thank you for all you do for the kids and the wonderful way you connect with them. Campbell County overall could use more teachers like you. I know the students would benefit from it. Congrats! All the awards available would never compete with the hard work, dedication, and love you demonstrate and promote. Those students who were privilege to be taught by you will reap lots of benefits! Thanks and congratulations again for all you do.

  3. I think it’s great having teacher of the week, but my teacher of the week is my son’s girlfriend Meagan Allen. My grandson started kindergarten this year and he has struggled to keep up being out of school so much. They have two kindergarteners, one in first grade, and one in middle school so it’s hard to give them all the attention they need especially when you aren’t a teacher. Meagan has worked really hard with my grandson and this past week he got his first 100 on his spelling test and we were all just overjoyed for him, especially Meagan. I would just like to recognize all the parents, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone else who has became a teacher out of necessity this year. Great Job!
