CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – The home of a Caryville woman was raided on Monday culminating a five months long undercover operation. 

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Caryville Police Department, executed a narcotics search warrant at the home of Shaunna Danielle McKinney at 137 Hollow Lane in Caryville.

Law enforcement obtained the search warrant following five months of undercover investigation in which investigators made several undercover buys of Schedule II controlled substances, believed to be Methamphetamine, from McKinney.

During the search of the home, investigators located narcotics to include schedule V controlled substances, thought to be Neurontin, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence indicating McKinney has been selling narcotics for a lengthy period of time.

McKinney’s case will be presented to the grand jury once the investigation is complete.

According to a Campbell County Sheriff’s Department press release Mckinney faces potential indictments of:
Sell/Delivery of Schedule II controlled substance, believed to be methamphetamine (multiple counts)
Criminal Conspiracy
Possession of Schedule V controlled substance, believed to be Neurontin
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

During the execution of the search warrant John Steven Cotterman was arrested on scene for active arrest warrants of theft and driving with a revoked license. Cotterman, 28, of La Follette, is free on bond this morning. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/02/2021-6AM)
