JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Two items of new business were on the agenda for the Town of Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting last night.

Ordinance #123, modifying the Jacksboro Municipal Code plant protection criteria and local limits, had a first reading. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation require the Caryville-Jacksboro Utility Commission to make regular updates to plant protection criteria and local limits.  This ordinance fulfills the requirement.

Resolution #361, updating the Safety and Health Plan (TOSHA), was approved. This is done every seven years.

In communications from the mayor, the board approved releasing the $1,500 donation early to the Jacksboro Cemetery. This is a budgeted item. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/05/2021-6AM)
