JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Coming off a year of a closed off world and a season-less year for Campbell County Track and Field, the Cougars and Lady Cougars are about to begin a long, awaited season starting tomorrow.

he amount of competition is not what they’re used to seeing, but that doesn’t change the team’s all or nothing, hard working approach going into this season. This season will consist of eight regular season contests, while hosting one of those. From there, the qualifying athletes will advance to the sectional competition.

Here is the projected schedule for CCHS Track’s 2021 season.

March 16@Union County High
March 23@Halls High
March 26@Union County High
April 13@Lenoir City High
April 16 (Dale Legg)@Anderson County High
April 20@Union County High
April 26-27 (Multi-Events)@Morristown West High
May 6 HOMECampbell County High
May 15 (Sections)@Science Hill High

With a promising new year, has also come promising athletes to compete this season. Ranging from emerging freshman, to new juniors and seniors coming to work hard and compete. However, this year is not the typical year that the team sees in terms of numbers. This team is smaller but everyone is driven and working hard. Coaches Chris Shouse, Ann Browning, and Seth Muncy have taught and put together a group of eager and hard working athletes to represent CCHS this year.

We encourage the community to push Campbell County Track and Field to go out and represent the county in an amazing fashion. Let’s have an amazing season.
