This car fire was the first of six runs for the Campbell County Rural Fire Service on Sunday.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A call at 12:22 am on Sunday morning was just the beginning of a long, long day for firefighters and First Responders with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service.

The first call was a car fire soon after midnight. Firefighters battled that blaze on Highway 25W north of La Follette at the top of Peabody Mountain. The fire was snuffed out, and there were no injuries.

That car fire was the first of six calls on Sunday. CCRFS crews ran the car fire, along with two fire alarms and three EMS runs.

The last call call of the day came in at 11:22 pm Sunday night. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/22/2021-6AM)
