Campbell won Wednesday at Clinton.

CLINTON, TN (WLAF) – There was just enough gas left in the tank for Campbell to squeeze out a 2-1 soccer win over the Dragons at Clinton on Wednesday evening.

The Cougars were playing their fifth game in six days. “We were a little sluggish and still managed to pull out the win,” said Head Coach Bryan Horton. The coach points out that a player will run an average of seven to 10 miles a game.

Jeremy Weinberg and Jeramiah Jackson scored for Campbell in the win. The Cougars improve to 2-2-1 on the season.

“We had played so well on the turf fields and have had some adjustments to make playing our last two games on grass,” said Horton.
