JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – A Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic will be in Jellico on Sat., May 15 and Sun., May 16 at Jellico High School at 141 High School Lane. All medical services are free and no I.D. is required for treatment.

The clinic is being held in collaboration with the community. This will be RAM’s first medical, dental, and vision clinic in Jellico, since the local hospital had to close its doors this year.

The clinic will provide free medical, dental, and vision care and opens at 6 a.m. on both days. All services will be provided on a first come, first served basis.  The clinic will offer services such as dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, glaucoma testing, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women’s health exams, and general medical exams.

All patients must wear a face covering and undergo a COVID-19 screening.  Only the patients will be allowed in the building. These changes are in response to COVID-19.  New air flow, disinfecting processes, and capacity limitations have also been put in place to ensure the safety of patients, staff and volunteers.

As patients arrive at the parking lot of Jellico High School, they will be provided with additional information regarding clinic opening processes and next steps.

RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.

Please check RAM’s clinic FAQ page for more information. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/07/2021-6AM)
