LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Former La Follette Owls Basketball Coach Ron Murray had about as big a birthday as a 91-year old man could have. And for that, he sends a great big “thank you” for the more than 50 birthday cards and that or more phone calls.

Murray turned 91 on Saturday and had in person visits from family, friends and former players. To top it off, Mayor Mike Stanfield declared Saturday, April 10, 2021, as “Ron Murray Day” in La Follette.
