LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Despite a rainy start to the season, several vendors were on hand for the first Farmers’ Market on Sat., April 24.

Brenda and Don Forbey braved the dreary weather for the first Farmers’ Market of the season on Saturday.

Brenda and Don Forbey braved the dreary weather with fresh baked goods with their business “I Bake, You Take”.  Megan Colley brightened the day with her business “Tied and True” featuring hand tie-dyed t-shirts and hand made crochet items. Eileen Bunch had plenty of tomato plants ready to go in the ground for planting season and Farmer John Griffith had fresh eggs, honey, canned beans and more.

Saturday’s Farmers’ Market featured an original member in Megan Colley with Tied and True.

The market continues through Sat., Sept. 25. This annual event is every Saturday from 8 am – 2 pm. “The Campbell County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Tractor Supply to present you the Campbell County Farmers Market.”

The Farmers’ Market is located in the big parking lot across the four lane from Doyle’s Tire Shop in La Follette.

The first Farmers’ Market of the season featured plenty of tomatoes from Eileen Bunch.

Vendors can pick up an application to set up at the Farmers’ Market at Tractor Supply or at the Chamber of Commerce office. Please turn all applications in at the chamber office at 1016 Main Street at Jacksboro. They can also be mailed to PO Box 305, Jacksboro 37757 or emailed to info@campbellcountychamber.org.

Farmer John turned 87 in late March and, along with Megan Colley, is one of the original members of the Farmers’ Market vendors.
