Vivian Weaver Murray (Maw) left this earthly life on April 25, 2021, to begin her Heavenly life at the precious age of 95 years, 3 months, and 19 days. She went to “Beulah Land” to be with her loving husband, Rev. J.C. Murray.  who preceded her in death in 2004 and her son, Jay Darren in 2017.

Vivian was born in Jellico, TN on January 6, 1926 to Gilbert and Bertha Perkins Weaver, who preceded her in death along with her siblings, sisters- Beulah Fry and Etta Lay, brothers- Curt and Verlin Weaver, an infant son, and step-daughter- Patricia Rosato and husband Phil.

Vivian has spent the last 8+ years of her life in LaFollette Health and Rehab Center due to the terrible disease. Alzheimer’s. Special thanks to the nurses, CNA’s doctors, and staff for the good care they gave her.  Also to the amazing staff at the LaFollette ER who took care of her during her last hours, especially to Dr. Charles Baker, Nurse Angie Heatherly, and my forever friend and former student from Stony Fork, Kelly McKamey.

Vivian is survived by daughter and son-in-law Vijaya and Edward Morton; grandsons, Mitchell (Michelle) and Kenny; (Tiffany) Long, Jason (Brooke) and Jacob Murray; step-granddaughter, Kelly Rosato Barrow; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Hudson, Ryleigh, Josh, Austin, and Abbigail Long; step-great granddaughters, Savannah and Victoria Barrows; siter, Lola Benge, Sister-in-laws, Linda Weaver and Shirley Weaver; special niece, Vina Deuel and nephew Jr. Murray to whom she was almost a second mother, and other nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Bro. Kenny Long, Mitchell Long, and Danny Wilson officiating. The family will meet Friday April 30, 2021 at Warren Cemetery in Elk Valley for a 11 AM internment.
